Here is a statement popularly used during hide and seek games, but which summarizes Jesus’ words to the world concerning His second coming.

In times like this, when people all over the world seem unprepared for the coming of Jesus, it is important that the church wakes up to the reality of what the bible says. Jesus says “Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Rev 3:22).

According to the scriptures, the coming of the Lord will be at a time when men least expected (Matt 24:44), Jesus emphasized it by saying “if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up” (Matt 24:43).

Your level of preparedness is not a factor that will determine His coming. Jesus will return to rapture the saints whether anyone is prepared or not. This is the time; the church needs to be focused on Jesus’ return more than any other time in history. Prophecies that will mark His return as stated in the scriptures are fast coming to pass (Matt 24).

The gospel is being preached everywhere – thanks to the various forms of media – which is reason enough to know that the end of all things is just too close. You may not have the opportunity to see tomorrow or any other moment you might be postponing your readiness to. This is your best opportunity to be ready.

It’s time to walk in the light as that is the only way to live ready (1Thess 5:2-5). Though God promised His children long life, we must understand that death do happen in least expected moments. You need to know that death is not the worst thing that can happen to a man; The worst thing that can happen to a man is dying without Christ.

Am asking you right now, will you be ready to meet Christ any moment He comes? Will you choose to walk in the light of His words? Will you choose His ways above the ways of man? Will you be ready to serve Him? Will you shun lies and every appearances of evil? The choice is yours.

He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still. Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.

(Rev 22:11-12 ASV)

May the Lord give you the grace and willpower to make the right decision,  Amen
