Contracts and covenants thrives on some set of rules of engagements called terms and conditions. Contracts ceases from being effective when the terms and conditions are violated. Many a times, people agree to terms and conditions they never care to study, only to lose some benefits from its violation. Just like we often agree to a software’s terms and conditions without bothering to go through it and later got discontinued because we violated some portions of it.
God’s promises are hinged on terms and conditions. The ignorance of these terms and conditions is the major cause of unanswered prayers and un-granted desires in the body of Christ. God loves us so much that He wants to grant our prayers and desires, but He cannot do it when the terms and conditions are violated.
We are in a covenant relationship with God and everything that we receive from God including our lives is dependent upon these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are clearly written in the word of God.
Many people believe prayer to be the only key to receiving from God. But what they fail to understand is that prayer outside the will of God is nothing more than a mere noise, no matter the intensity. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (1Jn 5:14 KJV). If we understand clearly the terms and conditions for receiving from God, we would be able to access the things that are freely given to us.
It’s not enough to claim the promises of God without first meditating on the conditions set for its fulfillment. One of the terms and conditions for the salvation is, believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confessing with your mouth His Lordship. So also, financial prosperity cannot be attained outside giving.
Let me tell you this, God will not honour any prayer that is not in line with His word. The Bible says, … “for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name”. (Psa 138:2 KJV). We pray in the name of Jesus, but God values His word higher than His name. This shows that praying in His name without His word will end in futility.
If God exalts His word more than His name, I strongly believe it’s time we pay more attention to His word. It’s the word that gives power to the name. Remember the seven sons of Sceva; “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” (Act 19:15 KJV). The word of God gives you Identity in the spirit realm. Am not talking about quoting the scriptures alone, but living as doer of the word. Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you”. (Joh 15:7 KJV).
Get into the word of God now and find out the terms and conditions that guarantees the delivery of that which you desire. Live no more in ignorance, take delivery of all that is yours because your light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you, therefore I challenge you to ARISE AND SHINE.
