Joshua, a great leader of his time, boldly declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15, NIV). Similarly, the story of Daniel provides us with a remarkable example of standing alone in faith. When faced with a decree that banned prayer to any God but the king, Daniel boldly defied it, courageously risking severe consequences. His unwavering commitment to God’s commandments sets him apart. As a result, God protected him in the den of lions (Daniel 6:22).

Jesus Himself emphasized the need to be different when He said, “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world” (John 15:19, NIV).
