Understanding what life is, is crucial to maximizing it. If you don’t understand the meaning of life, your existence here on earth will be a frustrating experience. There is a mystery about life that must be unraveled for anyone to experience the best of it. Life is often defined as the condition that distinguishes a living thing from non-living things. While this is true, there is more to it.

To truly grasp the meaning and purpose of life, it’s crucial for us as to explore its origin, which is rooted in God. In the beginning, before anything else existed, God was there. In Genesis chapter one, when God created the world and all that is in it, the Bible says “it was without form and void” (Gen 1:2).

The Spirit of God is the Spirit of life, and He is the one who gives life to all of God’s creatures (Rev 11:11).

The bible says ““The true God is the Creator of all things. He is the owner and Lord of the heavenly realm and the earthly realm, and he doesn’t live in man-made temples. He supplies life and breath and all things to every living being. He doesn’t lack a thing that we mortals could supply for him, for he has all things and everything he needs.” (Act 17:24-25 TPT)

So, we can say that life is a gift from God given for a purpose for which you will be held accountable. Your life is an investment and a deposit from God for a specific purpose and assignment. Being an investment, you, as the recipient of this life, will one day give an account before God for how you used it.

“Therefore, each one must answer for himself and give a personal account of his own life before God.” (Rom 14:12 TPT)

Everything that exists and is alive came into being because God released life into them.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecc 12:7 KJV)

Your life is not yours; it belongs to God, who gave it and to whom it will return one day when an account will be given of the purpose it fulfilled. So, you don’t have the exclusive right to do whatever you like with your life. You owe God the responsibility of living your life according to His purpose for the life He gave you. Living your life the way God intended it to be is the antidote to living a stress-free and rewarding life.

If you understand that your life is given to you by God, then you must also come to the realization that you can only fulfill the purpose of life by receiving Jesus, The Bread of Life. By accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will receive enablement to accomplish all that God intended His life, which you received, to do.
